Our story · Since 2003
A community rooted in faith, growing together.
Al Kawthar Community Centre was created in response to the need for an Islamic Shia centre serving the Muslim community, particularly children and youth growing up in Calgary.
Established in Calgary
A welcoming place for faith, learning and community life.
Established on October 27, 2003, Al Kawthar has a strong Lebanese cultural identity and uses both English and Arabic to welcome community members.
The centre is a community organization operated with the support of its board and volunteers. Board names and biographies can be added once approved for publication.
